Description

Move over Barbie, AR Roller Gaiters are here. Keep those white boots clean or enhance the look of your skates by adding flair to your style with our AR Roller Gaiters. Whether you are into fitness skating, urban exploring, roller disco or roller dancing, our AR Rollerskate Gaiters are for you.

AR Rollerskate Gaiters cover the upper part of your skate boot to prevent grit, gravel and dust from roads and walkways from getting into and onto your boot. They keep your socks clean and your laces under wrap so that they don't come undone or get caught. Plus, they look amazing. We have a wide variety of prints and colours to complement your style and match your vivacious personality.

Suitable for quads and inline skates.

We do have a variety of prints in stock - please drop us a note directly (orders@argaiters.co.za)

PRODUCT SPECS:

  • Weight: 52g for the pair
  • One size fits all thanks to four-way stretch lycra.
  • Attaches to your bottom-most lace by a metal hook.
  • Elastic in the bottom seam creates tension to keep your gaiters snug.
  • Squares of Velcro are stitched to the back of the AR Rollerskate Gaiters. We provide you with the other side of the adhesive Velcro to attach to the back of your shoe.

USE:

  • Slip an AR Rollerskate Gaiter over your foot, wider end downwards before putting your skates on.
  • Clip the hook on your bottom-most lace - or as near to it. Hooking low down is important because 1) you get maximum coverage from the gaiter over your shoe and 2) this creates tension on the gaiter to keep it snug.
  • Pull the back of the gaiter over the back of the boot.
  • The elastic in the bottom of the gaiter helps to create tension and to keep the gaiter on your shoe.

Adhesive Velcro Tabs

  • AR Rollerskate GaiterIncluded in your gaiter packet are adhesive Velcro tabs, which you can stick on the back of your skate boot to keep the back of your AR Gaiters down. You may not need it to hold your gaiters down - try it and see.
  • The Velcro tabs have an adhesive backing. As with any adhesive, it works better on some materials than others. The heel area of the boot may be fabric (textured surface), or smooth and more plastic.
  • The boot surface must be new or clean, free of dust and mud and dry before sticking on the Velcro.
  • Give it a good press and even clamp it on. Apply the tab at least 12-24hrs before use to allow the adhesive to stick properly.
  • We recommend using a contact adhesive or Bostik Shoe Repair Glue to stick down the Velcro tab; don't just rely on the Velcro's adhesive, which may or may not work well on your skates. Because the heel area is rigid with no flex or movement, glues that dry without flex are fine. Read the instructions on the glue regarding its suitability for the material of your shoe and also application instructions.
  • Adhesive Velcro is readily available from hardware stores and fabric/haberdashery stores so if you have more than one pair of skates, you can easily get more Velcro.
